There’s nothing more pleasing than discovering a wild, sun drenched meadow on one of my planned hikes. I’m always amazed at the natural pattern of repeated growth produced over and over again. Native plants live in balance with the ecosystem.

Observing natures timely propagation always fills me with excitement. I wait with muted anticipation to witness which growths will sprout next. Their plentiful blossom cycle providing cover for native animals. The natural dispersal of seeds provide abundant food for inhabitant wildlife.

Heal with Native Species

Most recently there has been an increasing concern over the loss of natural, self-propagated environments. In contrast, these concerns have bolstered an interest in planting with native species. The native movement is growing.

The best part about sewing native plants is the requirements are small. The essential elements of earth, sun and seasonal weather cycles will produce a copious bounty of rewarding vegetation.

Plants tend to thrive when they’re rooted in adaptable substrate and exist alongside other compatible species. Choosing to garden with native ground cover encourages interaction. When cultivating a native garden, there is little chance of introducing an invasive species.

Build your natural garden one tract at a time

Native plants contribute to biodiversity. They offer the gardener many benefits. Overall, they’re the ultimate answer to low maintenance landscaping for busy households. You’ll find they require little or no irrigation. They’re also vigorous, hardy and robust. You’ll also find they hold up to winter cold and summer heat.

Working in harmony with nature provides a keen sense of satisfaction. I’ve find planting with nature has restorative power. Try gardening with native plants this season. You won’t be disappointed.
